I was born and raised in Kathmandu, the capital city of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and formerly the royal capital the Kingdom of Nepal. I met Armelle, aktiv planet's founder, in 2018 and we have worked together ever since.

So many things to do! Make sure you visit Kathmandu's many World Heritage Sites (temples, etc), marvel at panoramic views of the Himalaya on a trek and go on a wild life safari in Chitwan or Bardia National Parks.

aktiv planet offers a 13-day itinerary, which is the ideal minimum days to discover my beautiful country. 

There are so many beautiful (and more or less challenging) areas that I enjoy hikes in, but my favorite is a 4-day trek in the area near Mount Everest. I love to breathe the fresh air of the mountains and the views are just truly magnificent.

Harmony, kindness and respect for others are important mantras for Nepalis. We try to express this daily.

My favorite festival is Vijaya Dashami, as families gather, receive blessings from their parents and remember goddess Durga's victory over Mahishasura, the buffalo demon, to restore and protect dharma (righteousness).

During your visit to Nepal, you should try Dal Bhat Tarkari (lentils, vegetables, pickles, green salad and optional chicken or mutton or fish), MoMo (a dumpling filled with vegetables, chicken, mutton or buffalo), Pani Puri and a delicious Newari Khaja Set.
